A Time for Thanksgiving

by MaryAnn Diorio, PhD, MFA

Dear Reader,

November could be dubbed as "National Thanksgiving Month." It is a time of year during which we are more conscious of our blessings and more apt to give thanks for them.

While this is a good thing, every month should be filled with gratitude. When we take the time to count our blessings, we realize that we have far more than we realize.

One of my greatest blessings is you, my Reader. Without you, my writing would be for naught. Just as a glove needs a hand, so does an author need a reader. You are that reader, and I want to say THANK YOU!

This month as we take time to thank God for our many blessings and time to thank those special people who touch our lives in such special ways, remember to say thank you to a favorite author of yours--or more than one. We authors need to know that what we write is touching your life. We need to know that all the time we spend working hard to create our stories is not wasted time but productive time. We need to know that you are out there, taking valuable time out of your busy life to read our words.

And for that we thank you. More than words an adequately express, we thank you.

Happy Thanksgiving Day!
